Working With Other Churches

St Columba's aims to further the work of God through working with other Christian groups, some of which are detailed below.

Cumnor United Reformed Church

Cumnor URC is the sister church of St Columba's URC, with whom we share a minister. We work together to share in each other's church lives and to further God's work.

Other City Centre Churches

In particular, we work closely with New Road Baptist Church, St Michael's at the North Gate, and Wesley Memorial Church. Various topics are worked on together and joint services are also held together.

Churches Together in Oxfordshire

St Columba's URC is a member of Churches Together in Oxfordshire (CTO), which exists to further Ecumenical relationships within the county of Oxfordshire.

Oxford Street Pastors

Street Pastors is present in Oxford and across the United Kingdom. It cares for, helps and listens to people on the streets of Oxford city centre on Friday nights between 10:00pm and 4:00am on Friday nights. St Columba's URC has supported this work financially, as well as some of the current and previous members being active participants.

Oxford Winter Night Shelter (OWNS)

A number of churches in central Oxford provide shelter for rough sleepers in the winter. The shelters run from 1st January to 31st March. In the winter of 2019 accommodation was provided every night for up to 20 men and women in different locations in central Oxford. More information can be found at www.ownsoxford.org.uk/.
