Donations & Fundraising

Current project: Oxford Winter Night Shelter

OWNS is a project being run by Oxford churches, including our own John Fresen to offer emergency night shelter accommodation for the homeless in Oxford this winter. It is being run over seven nights a week, from January 2018 through to March.

Some donations are needed; you can contribute using any of the methods below - simply send an e-mail to treasurer@saintcolumbas.org saying your donation is for OWNS, and we will pass it on, having claimed any Gift Aid we can first.

Centenary Appeal

Established in our centenary year (2015), St Columba's established a Centenary Fund to support the mission of the church for future years.  The original aim was to raise £100,000: £1,000 for every year of the church's history.

Any donations would be gratefully received. We would like to involve as may people as possible in the appeal, so if you are in touch with St Columba's "alumni" around the country or the world then please pass the link to this page onto them.

How to Donate

1. You can contribute below or by sending cheques payable to "St Columba's URC Oxford" to the church address.

2. If you are already a regular donor to St Columba's, simply add your centenary fund donation to your existing envelope or bank transfer (or post us a one-off cheque), ensuring that you let treasurer@saintcolumbas.org know it is for the Centenary Fund. This is the most effective way for existing donors to contribute and ensures all Gift Aid will be claimed automatically.

3. You can also donate by text message...
You can donate by texting STCU15 followed by the amount you wish to donate, to 70070.
You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.

As an example, to donate £5, you would text the following to 70070: STCU15 £5

All the money you donate goes to us, and your network provider does not charge you for the SMS you send to make the donation.
After donating you will be given the option of allowing us to claim Gift Aid on the donation.

The maximum donation is £30 per day.
