Central, affordable, eco-friendly hire spaces
St Columba's URC is a prime hire venue in the heart of Oxford city. We offer two large spaces, a professional kitchen, two smaller meeting rooms, and a PA system for hire. Our venue is as central as the town hall, our space are competitively priced, and meet the latest fire safety regulations. St Columba's is working on making them eco-friendly too.
Celebrating diversity
The spirit of equality of opportunity and religious diversity is important to us. We aim to provide diverse worship, charitable and community groups with space to use (in accordance with their aims) at a reasonable rate of hire. We welcome worship and non-profit groups from across faith lines and church denominations.
In all of this, we are a church. We seek to facilitate relationships that manifest our understanding of the love of Christ, and hirers are warmly welcomed to participate in the life of our Church as they choose.
For non-faith or business events, the church can simply be transformed into a wood-panelled room with a stage area - it is not overtly a church space. The hall is an intimate square shape with a central light dome and an adjoining, well-equipped kitchen.
